Buzz Bingo reported £217.2m in revenue for 2024, a 4.9% increase compared to the prior year. Underlying EBITDA climbed to £41.8m, up 20%, according to the company’s results.

Parent group Buzz Venus said its omnichannel strategy was key. More retail players engaged online, driving digital revenue to £44.2m, a 14% rise. Retail halls also posted growth, up 3% to £173m.

The customer base is shifting. Buzz added 175,000 new players during the year, with half under 35. That’s a marked change for a brand often associated with older players.

CEO Dominic Mansour described the final quarter as the strongest since before the pandemic. Venue visits rose 3% year-on-year. To appeal further to younger audiences, Buzz launched Big Money Live in late 2024, a product that connects retail halls and digital play.

The group also moved its online operations to Gibraltar last year. Filings show the relocation improved supplier access and international prospects but raised expenses. Administrative costs increased from £121.7m to £126.8m, while net losses widened slightly from £30.9m to £31.7m. The purchase of bingo clubs in Cricklewood and Northamptonadded to the total.

In July, Buzz secured a £25m funding package from Barclays and other investors. The funds are being used to modernise venues: new electronic bingo terminals, upgraded technology, and a refreshed loyalty programme. Upgrades are already in progress.
