Casino Bonus & Wagering Calculator

Written by Daniel Last updated: September 22, 2026

Use our casino bonus calculator to work out the total stakes required by an online casino bonus offer. Enter the deposit, bonus and wagering terms, then check how much of each bet counts. The result is the amount to wager, not the money you need to deposit or the amount you can withdraw.

What does the bonus really require?

Enter the offer’s terms to see the total stakes needed to meet its wagering requirement.

Use the contribution rate in the offer’s terms. This is different from the game’s RTP.

Read the offer’s full terms. Game exclusions, maximum bets, expiry dates and cashout limits still apply. A zero wagering requirement does not guarantee that all funds can be withdrawn. Currency selection changes the display only; no exchange rates are used. 18+.

How to use the wagering requirements calculator

Keep the offer’s terms and conditions beside you. The same bonus percentage can produce very different results once the wagering base and game contribution are included.

  1. Choose the bonus type. Select Deposit bonus for a percentage match. Choose Fixed bonus / free spins winnings when you already know the amount of bonus money.
  2. Enter the amounts. For a deposit bonus, add your deposit and the match percentage. Enter the maximum bonus if the offer has a cap; otherwise leave that field blank. A 100% match on £200, capped at £100, gives a £100 bonus.
  3. Add the wagering multiplier. Enter 10 for a 10x requirement. Under Wagering applies to, select the balance named in the terms: Bonus only or Deposit + bonus.
  4. Enter the game contribution. Use 100 when eligible bets count in full. A lower percentage increases the total stakes needed.

Results update automatically as you change the fields. Reset clears the numerical inputs and the result. The currency selector changes how amounts are displayed; it does not convert money between pounds, euros, US dollars and Swedish kronor.

Bonus only or deposit plus bonus?

The wagering base is the amount multiplied by the requirement. Check this before comparing two offers: the multiplier alone does not tell you how much you would have to stake.

When wagering applies to the bonus

A £100 deposit with a 100% match leaves you with £200 to play with. If the offer says “10x bonus”, only the £100 bonus enters the calculation. With eligible bets counting in full:

£100 × 10 = £1,000 in total stakes.

When wagering applies to deposit and bonus

Using the same £100 deposit and £100 bonus, a 5x requirement on the combined amount gives:

(£100 deposit + £100 bonus) × 5 = £1,000 in total stakes.

Here, 5x on both amounts produces the same requirement as 10x on the bonus alone. These are worked examples, not advertised offers.

How game contribution changes the result

A game with 20% contribution counts just 20p from every £1 bet towards the requirement. That turns £1,000 of qualifying wagering into £5,000 of actual stakes:

£1,000 ÷ 0.20 = £5,000.

With 100% contribution, every pound counts in full, so the total stays at £1,000.

This explains why the result panel separates Qualifying wagering required from Total stakes required. They match at 100% contribution and differ when only part of each bet counts.

Read the promotion’s game list rather than assuming a rate for slots or table games such as blackjack and roulette. If a game contributes 0%, bets on it cannot clear a positive wagering requirement. The calculator shows “Does not count” in that case.

Game contribution is also different from return to player (RTP). The contribution percentage tells you how the offer counts eligible bets. It does not describe the game’s payouts. Use one contribution rate per calculation; the tool does not track a session where you switch between games with different rates.

Free spins and fixed bonus amounts

For a no-deposit bonus or another fixed award, enter the amount credited as bonus money. With free spins, use the winnings that carry wagering requirements, not the number of spins or their combined stake value.

For example, £25 of free-spin winnings with 10x wagering requires £250 in eligible stakes at 100% contribution. Select Fixed bonus / free spins winnings, enter 25, then use 10 for the multiplier and 100 for contribution.

If the winnings have no wagering requirement, enter 0 as the multiplier. That gives a zero wagering result; any separate claim conditions or cashout limits still need to be checked in the offer.

What the bonus wagering calculator tells you

A £1,000 result does not mean you need to deposit another £1,000. It adds up the eligible stakes required across bets. Money returned by a game may be staked again, but your balance can also run out before you reach that total.

The result shows the full wagering requirement, without subtracting bets you have already placed. It does not predict how much money you will have left after completing it.

Check whether bets made with your deposit count towards wagering, or only bets made with bonus money. A game’s 100% contribution rate does not necessarily mean both count. The calculator does not account for maximum bet limits, excluded games, bonus expiry dates or withdrawal caps.

Our casino bonus guide covers the wider offer terms. The calculation here helps you understand the amount of wagering; it is not a spending target or a reason to deposit more to finish a bonus.

UK bonus wagering requirements

For casinos licensed by the Gambling Commission, bonus wagering is capped at 10x under the current rules, introduced on 19 January 2026. A lower game contribution can still mean more betting: if only 20% of each stake counts, a £100 bonus with 10x wagering requires £5,000 in total stakes.

Bonus calculator FAQ

What does 10x wagering mean?

For a £50 bonus, “10x bonus” means £500 in qualifying bets. Check whether the terms include your deposit in that calculation too. The total stakes will also be higher if your chosen game contributes less than 100%.

Is a playthrough requirement the same as a wagering requirement?

Both terms describe an amount that must be wagered under an offer. For the calculation, find the multiplier, the balance it applies to and the percentage of eligible bets that counts.

Why is my result higher than the bonus multiplied by the wagering requirement?

Check whether you selected Deposit + bonus or entered a contribution rate below 100%. Either can increase the total stakes. Also check that the maximum bonus matches the offer’s cap.

Can I withdraw the amount shown in the result?

No. The result is a total of stakes, not a balance or payout. What remains after play depends on the game outcomes and the offer’s conditions, including any limit on bonus winnings that can be converted into cash.
